Press & Proof

Straight answers for your WordPress site.

Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

This page exists because United States FTC guidelines — and plain honesty — require us to tell you when we have a financial stake in the products we write about. Here is the whole arrangement.

The material connection

Press & Proof participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain links on this site and then buy something, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way — commissions come out of the vendor's marketing budget, not your pocket.

How to spot an affiliate link

Every monetized link on this site goes through a /go/ path — for example /go/cloudways. If a link starts with /go/, it is an affiliate link and this disclosure applies to it. Articles that contain such links also carry a short disclosure notice above the text, before the first link appears.

Programs we participate in

As of September 2026, we participate in or are enrolling in:

Additional programs (for example Hostinger, Elementor, and SiteGround) may be added; the WordPress ecosystem page lists the current partner registry, and this page is updated when the list changes.

Editorial independence

Commissions do not buy conclusions. Rankings, verdicts, and the numbers behind them are set before monetization is considered, and we recommend products with no affiliate program when they are the right answer — an article telling you to run a site on a free tier earns us nothing. A partner relationship gets a vendor a trackable link, never a better review. Where a partner's product loses a comparison on this site, the loss stays published.
